Nicholas Alexander, Estate Law
Nick Alexander is a Vancouver native, growing up in this great city before leaving for college and law school. After passing the bar, he had an opportunity to return to the area that he loves and has been practicing law in Clark County ever since. Prior to founding Vancouver Wills and Trusts Nick was an associate attorney for the law firm of Greenen & Greenen, and later an Executive Trust Officer at InTrustment NW where he was a professional Trustee, administering trusts and estates. With experience and an ever-growing passion for family and community, Nick is eager to help serve, defend and educate. He is proud to sit on the board of the Clark County Volunteer Lawyers Program and is chair of the Clark County Superior Court Bench/Bar. He enjoys spending time with his wife, two kids and dog, Dingo. Nick is a graduate of Evergreen State College and Willamette University College of Law.

Dawn
Estate Planning Paralegal
Read Bio
Hello! My name is Dawn Ryder, and I am the Estate Planning Paralegal here at Vancouver Wills and Trusts. I currently hold a Bachelor of Science in Business, which I earned in 2010. Prior to earning my degree and subsequently, I worked as a highly successful restaurant manager within the same restaurant chain spanning three states, two US coasts, and eight years. After reaching many goals set for myself, I decided to turn my attention to those most vulnerable.
In 2018 as part of a Trust Administration team and as Client Services Administrator, I began serving clients who were on means tested benefits, had intellectual or physical disabilities that prevented them from thriving independently, and those who otherwise required assistance in managing their assets. This type of work satisfied the soul, and I was lucky enough to serve many people until the pandemic changed the course of so many lives and careers.
2021 provided me the opportunity to use my experience and knowledge in a new role at Vancouver Wills and Trusts. Today I specialize in the creation of Estate Plans, specifically Trusts, with a heightened focus on Supplemental Needs or other trusts that offer protection to those who need it the most. My passion to assist the most vulnerable has never subsided, and I am grateful to be of service to all people who walk through our doors.

Blayne
Probate Paralegal
Read Bio
Hi! I’m Blayne Meyer. Monday through Friday from 8-5 you can find me being Nick’s Probate Paralegal here at Vancouver Wills and Trusts. I help ensure that documents are filed on time, the right people are put on notice, and that our clients don’t feel so scared and alone in the probate process. I’m the main point of contact for all of our probate clients, and I don’t take that job lightly. Having dealt with plenty of loss myself, I’m sensitive to the situation at hand. I started here over two years ago as a part-time assistant, tying up loose ends where they were needed, answering the phones, and e-filing documents. Since then, I have built a rapport with many clients, making myself available as best as I can to everyone I can.
Outside of my 8-5, you can find me trying to train my giant dog, Augustus, or snuggling with one of the five, (yes, five!) cats we have running around. If I’m not consumed with the animals, I’m out with my fiancée chasing sunsets, finding new spots to camp with the family, playing video games, or having game nights with my friends- I’m the champion of Hide and Seek! I’m very much a giver, so like my clients, I try to make myself available to my loved ones as best as I can. Helping people is my passion!

Anastasia
Legal Assistant
Read Bio
Hey y'all! I’m Anastasia, one of Nick’s legal assistants at Vancouver Wills and Trusts since August of 2022. My primary role here is to make sure all your real properties are securely taken care of. I put a lot of my time and focus into recording your deeds and contacting our wonderful county auditors across Washington and Oregon to not only further my knowledge in my field, but to ensure all your needs are taken care of.
Alongside my work, I am also pursuing my degree in Music at Clark College here in Vancouver. You can catch me in performances across Vancouver during the school year for the college's jazz band, concert band, choir, and orchestra. I find that my path of education allows me to have a deeper connection with our community, as I take pride in performing and providing entertainment for the people around me. It also allows me to connect with teachers and students across the Pacific Northwest which allows me to better understand the needs of families in Clark County. Outside of work and music I enjoy travelling, hiking, being outdoors with my friends and partner, and spending time with my two amazing cats, Betty and X-ray.

Charissa
Legal Assistant

Hi! I’m Charissa! If there’s one thing you’ll quickly learn about me, it’s that I genuinely love helping people. As a Probate Legal Assistant here at Vancouver Wills & Trusts, I get to do that by walking alongside our clients throughout the probate process. Losing someone you love is already difficult, and having to figure out everything that comes along with probate can make that time even more overwhelming. Whether I’m answering questions, keeping you updated, preparing and filing documents, or helping you understand what comes next, I want our clients to feel comfortable reaching out and to know there is someone here who genuinely cares about them and what they’re going through.
I traded Georgia for the beautiful Pacific Northwest and have loved making Washington home! Outside of work, I’m usually spending time with friends, finding somewhere new to explore, or coming up with something fun to do. I love being outdoors, especially anywhere with a pretty view or around the water, and I’m always down for a spontaneous adventure or last-minute plan. Whether it’s exploring somewhere new, grabbing food with friends, or just laughing way too much over absolutely nothing, I love having fun and making memories with the people around me. I’ve found that some of my favorite memories are the ones we never planned in the first place!
